was really glad to talk to aunt sarah last nite..(on the phone)
thou she is away in kuching..she still cares a lot for us..
she's like a pillar of strength for me in terms of personal n character development.
honestly, she is harsh at times but it's all for my own wellbeing..
i'm so grateful n touched to know someone has such great faith in me...
i wanna be brave~
everything may seem hard..
but as long as i try..
give my all`
i wanna let them know,
i'm taking care of myself..
n be strong enough to care for others too^^

bought a shirt from zara yesterday after work..
smart casual look..
i will need something else to pair it with..in time to come..
mm.. GST increase!! damn!

had dinner at waraku(i hope i spelt it correctly)
with iren last nite.
teriyaki chicken don..VERY NICE..
with mayonaise..=p
actually, most of the dishes displayed on the menu looks unique n delicious..lolz

...IV medications lecture from 8 to 4.30pm tml..
gosh, important topic..cant doze off like what i did today le..

in the morning, a visit to the chinese physician.
diana came along too..
i guess our problems are quite similar..
that's y we got the same prescription for the herbs to brew..
i don like bitter stuff,
but i suppose i could try,
or it will be a waste of the trip.

went to clementi central food centre,
we ordered chicken cutlet,
thumbs up^^

n for the rest of the afternoon..
i simply slept.
felt so reluctant to wake up man..

sis n i went back to teban n met up with my relatives..
then the whole bunch of us arrived at tung lok restaurant beside arena country club at abt 7pm..
granny's 77th birthday celebration!!
most of the dishes were great..except for the sharksfin..eww..tastes weird`
cousinvincent n sis ling came a bit later..
all in all, the dinner session was lovely!
took a video n lots of pics..
not as much compared to or cameraman~ cousinvincent~
i'll post some in friendster once sis ling sends to us..

made silly mistakes like writing NYP n my initials when i should be writing SN(staff nurse)..

work - a huge part in life

when adults used to tell me, "being a student is the best, all u do is study, have fun n sit for exams" (cos kids always complain that they don have freedom n cant wait for their 21st birthday n stuff..u noe.. wanting to grow up fast n get out into the "gr8" world..)
i din really take to heart..

as i'm moving on to my next stage in life..work.
i can really 体会..
cos work takes up almost 3/4 of ur day..it's almost like work, sleep, eat, shit. lolz..
can get so tiring aye..
what with all those courses n continual education..
i think i can visualise my future already..(@_-)

today some of the big shots of singhealth group gave us talks..
one of the topic was like..mm.. staff development n career advancement?
basically after hearing the speakers today,
我认为是时候想想下一步...or rather my long term goal for my career..hm/?

at this point, all i can do is take a step at a time n
save up!! n hopefully, one fine day i'll work towards a degree..>>> =)

everything seems unknown for now.
one have to make it happen..

foundation programme

starting from yesterday, i'll be working 6days per wk..
sgh organised a foundation programme for us..better equip us before we work..
registered nurses, enrolled nurses, upgraded RN etc..
we attend lectures, practicals n also clinical practice in our respective wards.
n from 13th july onwards,
no more honeymoon le..
it's gonna be tough!

i'm posted to ward 55B..
it's discipline is urology..
n i thought i would be posted to 55A- ENT..

guess it's all the same ba..

my mind is shutting down le..
so much info to digest n find out,

seriously, today i had actually planned to stay home, sulk n lament on the fact that i'm starting work tml..

n it turns out the other way round..

my sis ordered mac delivery,
mum n her n i sat down together for breakfast..(since ages ago`)
my mind was so occupied with them n our conversation..
after tat, sis n i went to the nearby electrical store to purchase a philips vacuum cleaner.
broom not as efficient la..
sis, being the smart one decided it's time i helped out with the housework..
so yeah, that's the story.

grandpa, aunt sally n benedict came over..
the whole lot of us went safra @ mount faber for bowling n pool session..
as usual, the 3 persons who scored the lowest got to pay for the games-food-etc..
i got my middle finger sprained the other time,
hence, i din play.. =(

luckily, i still play good for pool..lolz..

dinner was at chinatown..
followed by me strolling at the west coast recreation stadium..
while sis n qingwei jogged..
quite relaxed after the walk..
it did help me get my mind off everything..
=)

i missed those days when i used to briskwalk at pandan reservoir
watch the sunset..
simply beautiful

pleasant outing

after wed nite of booze n stuff at obar n zouk,
i figured i wont be playing quite as often anymore..
new life blooming like a flower,
not certain if it will turn out as lovely..
but it's my job to accomplish that..=)

today, i met up with diana n we went to "thecheesecake cafe"..
we ordered 3 cheesecakes and shared - peach, oreo n vanilla choc chip..
i'm a sucker for gd 'desserts'..=D

thank god we shared the same taste..
we could do this more often!

followed by window-shopping at marina square n suntec..
lastly, dinner at lau pa sat..chit-chats
all was great!!

i'm feeling a bit tired now..
back aches, bloatedness
but i refuse to rest.
i want more time..but i'm losing it..

right.
down to jonathan, my little bro who's going to amk camp(ns) tml..
sis will be sending him off, playing the part of the big sister`
whereas i'm just gonna be saying my goodbyes to him at the front door.
=p

n they told me i had to pay on the spot to register at singapore nursing board..
when in fact, if all went smooth..
i woundnt need to fork out 100 bucks straight.
now my well is dry.
they had better reinburse me!^^

sis should be back from KL tonight..
hope she gets me something nice(=

leisurely day

my biological clock has been going the opposite way lately..
sleeping at 5am..waking up at 12 noon..
not healthy. but i assume it's more quiet at night, everything seems more peaceful..=)
i really cant stand crowded places!!
i guess thats my weakness..

i've been watching this taiwanese drama called 'corner with love'
Da S n Xiao Zhu as the main characters..
it's a pretty adorable love comedy drama..
the songs in it are quite nice as well..

met up with auntie n gang at holland v siem reap..
how i miss those days...(",)
had a few pines of erdinger n vodka..
been a while since i last drank erdinger..
drank a little too quickly, feeling cloudy now..

suddenly i think time is running out..
there's so much i wanna do before work starts..
i'm chasing against time!
thou shall not sleep..at least not yet.

忙碌的盲從

went to parkway parade today with san gu, xiaogu n lindacousin..
had steamboat for lunch..
the soup base was fantastic la..
after that, we proceeded back to legenda..
followed by cheesecakes n tiramisu for desserts..
we bought the cheesecakes from this rather distinguished cafe at east coast rd.
101 marks for the cakes!!
especially d oreo cheesecake n mango cheesecake!!
it's one of the best that i've eaten.. =D

one's feelings n emotions seem ever so easy to fluctuate..
almost like a wave,

the past few days have been quite pleasant!! =D
ktv sessions, small chats with frens..
chill out at 'love affair my wine' at demsey rd..
met a couple of interesting ppl thru iren..

n i've still got a little time left for reading too..=)
i really got to hurry up n start on my jodi picoult's novels soon..
by next week, i should be reading up more on my nursing books aready..
geez!!

i'm seriously ignoring the tiny voice behind my head..
tellling me 'hey, stop wasting time! u need to build up on that knowledge for ur work.'

it's compaq presario, which i din expect myself to buy..
costs less than 1700..
now i can save the trips to the library n surf the net all the time..

never for once have i waited for someone so impatiently n worried!
was supposed to meet iren at commonwealth at 7pm.
30 mins later, she was still nowhere in sight.
okie, i was frantic n puzzled..
i knew she would call if she could..
but anyway, i decided to go back home instead..
then she called. n damn, i hate the train ride even if it only took 10 mins`

dinner was satisfying.
spent abt 25 bucks at sushi tei..
goodilicious eh!

my sis is pretty friendly today..
cos i get to use her notebook..
oh ya, good news everybody..
soon, i'll own one myself!!

went over to cousin pauline's place today..
san gu cooked very delicious curry n i ate so much
i'm not gonna take dinner anymore..

borrowed some korean n hk dramas from grandma,
i'll most probably be piggin at home the whole of next week.

hk trip is still pending..n i really wanna go..
bonkers.

this holiday have been going pretty lazily...=)
