it's my rest day today..
a reason to sleep more than 12 hrs aye!
it's been so long since i last pressed the remote control..
felt so gd to just slack n switch channels on n off..;)

i logged into my friendster account, just looking thru my profile page..
listening to the song 'tattoo' n 'somebody's me'
n some of the pics of my loved ones..it simply brings a smile to my face.
i guess it felt so warm knowing that u have them around u, the stuff we've been thru..many happy moments that always fades away when u're sad or going thru difficult moments.

sounds like "that" will be my HAPPY PILL` for now..=D
i don wanna think abt the difficult times or the future.
just focus on present.

met qs,wendy,sijie n nicole yesterday nite for dinner at amk.
i certainly miss spicy crabs!!
the golden brown deep fried buns dipped in the sauces..yums yums..
the creamy butter crabs were gd too!

everyone felt full except me..
n so i suggested desserts, which they werent as keen..
but we went anyway..=)
to cheesecake cafe at east coast rd.
the peach flavor cheesecake was sold out, so i settled for chocolate banana cake`
n drank camomile honey tea (tastes gd) n was rather diuretic!! =p
funny thing was, i actually got high on caffeine~
owells, maybe i was just happy i get 2 days off from work..

watched 'Narnia today at vivo with iren..
followed by dinner at this fusion bbq restaurant near st james.
afterwhich, we headed for drinks inside dragonfly or rather at the karaoke bar,
sang a couple of songs..heard many more
really celebrating-like..lolz..
loved such sessions of entertainment..just pure relaxation..=)

yes or no, does death has its accuracy?
my fav idol takeshi kaneshiro starring in the movie as a grim reaper,
i watched it alone today at vivo.
alot of thoughts went thru my mind during the movie.
just my personal conclusion.
i totally agree with the lead actress(old lady starring as the first subject that appeared) at the end of the movie when she told 'grim reaper' that even thou each life is ordinary n not special, it's IMPORTANT!!
just like how the sun is important etc..

kinda hard to understand if one hasnt watched the movie..
we r all worthy of our lives
not just fulfilling duties.

i get a bit frightened at times.
i grow to realize i have no one.
no shelter.
no space.

i went to the salon yst.
i changed my hairstyle for quite a bit i guess..
got it permed. (only the top part)
don get the wrong idea..
not those curls u would imagine, but rather like electrocuted hair..lolz..
it took almost 2 hrs or so..
while my hairstylist is doing my hair, she lent me her PSP to play so i wont get bored. N guess wat, i was hooked on the simple game. almost like bedazzled.

took a train down to raffles city..
like a lost kid, i scrabbled my way to find the arthouse(sec sch gathering at timbre)
along the way, i stopped by the museum..civilisation theme thingy..
i din know this place exist..ha..'sua ku'
okies, basically.. i don go to many places..so yeah..thats y.
anyways, i arrived at our destination early.
sat down comfortably n ordered kebab n kir without waiting for the rest of my friends. no manners, but cant keep my stomach growling lo..=p

after abt 50 min or so..they finally came.
khairul,puvan,habib,qs,nicole,sijie,darrell, ming rui n weiming..
so it was just food n chats n sitting down listening to the band '53A?'
well, the lead singer sarah sang nicely~!!
n poor darrell had to act as my messenger to deliver my song dedication.
there were so many songs i wanna hear from her, but the song title i just cant remember..owells.

iren came by n joined us for a drink.
afterwhich, we went karaoke at partyworld orchard.
i was so keen on it since ages long..
yet, when we sat down n sang (occasionally standing up =D )
it felt so weird, i guess cos it's been so long since we sang..

went over to iren's place yesterday..
before that, we went to jurong west area n got goldfishes for her pond..
both of us were sick so we simply bought "herbal teas" from chinese physician stalls,
hoping it will help bring down the 'heatiness' in our bodies..
lolz..

watched a japanese serial at her place..
in an air-conditioned living room..wat a luxury!
i missed air con..=(

then, i took a train down to somerset, met up with jon at cineleisure.
had dinner, took neoprints--super funny!!
watched 'made of honor'..
followed by drinks n pizza at alleybar!
i cant remember the last time i drank tequila pop..2 yrs back?
but it sure tastes good!
n seriously, i condemn martinis..=p

went out with iren.
an ordinary day, lazy afternoon..
lunch at rider's club cafe..
left the 'smitten' (magazine)there n totally forgot abt it.

proceeded to holland v's coffee bean.
cos apparently, for god knows wat reasons, we just couldnt access internet there.
n we had salad n club sandwich (i love d egg) for dinner.
n when it was time to leave, yet again this time, we forgot iren's lappie!!
seriously got a shock when i got home n received a call from her..
she literally flew back n lucky enough, the manager kept it for her.
thank god..whew!

THIS KINDA INCIDENT SHOULD BE A BIG LESSON!!
we ought to really check carefully, take care of our belongings no matter where we go aye~

thurs feels like a long day..
after work, searched for a patient's house..
then back home.. get changed, westmall to return the novels i rented..
had dinner with sec sch classmates at ichiban jp..
chilled at mac..
the latte frappe will not be able to keep my eyes open for another fifteen minutes..
i will definitely doze off after i finish this entry.

well, the few of us discussed n planned to have a sec sch gathering on 27th may.
karaoke session..my fav.
so looking forward!!

gotta work for nine days before enjoying myself le..
my back is aching agains.

i had the craziest day at work.
nevertheless, i did reward myself after work..
went to cream bistro at pacific plaza.
met up with iren, her sis n friends - clara and emily..
continued our chillout session at wine company at dempseys!
had a great time!!
if i stayed longer, i'll probably be drinking non-stop..lolz..
well, stayed over at iren's place..
thought of watching some jap serials at her place while she studied..

n today, i watched 'wat happens in vegas' at westmall..
was funny n gd!
n before i noe it, i also bought 4 other chinese novels at sans bookshop..
i will try to finish reading it all within 2 months,
i'll be able to return the book n get 65% of the money i paid for it..+/-

21st my fren

this yr's gonna be many of my friend's 21st bdae.
since we're all born in the yr of 1987.

attended iren's at aranda country club yesterday.
pretty much the same sort of arrangement;
food, pics, craziness, drinks, birthday song n all.
food was nice.

went home early.
joanne drove us back..thank god..
god knows how much the cab fare will turn out from east to west..;)

mm, meeting up with trio gang later-wendy,qs n sijie..
wondering where we'll be heading to.
oo..i painted my nails back in batu pahat..
shiny lovely!!

my trip visiting batu pahat was alright.
seen my little adorable cousins!!
3 meals so fulfilled each time.
i slack ard in bed reading my aunt's novels whilst the older adults
were chatting away.
i completed 2 novels in 3 n a half days.
=)

visiting my relatives' plantations(getting bitten by mosquitos)
still was worthwhile knowing they planted such lovely different variety of plants n flowers..all for sale to countries like sg..
now i know how the plants we see in our lion city came abt!

within these 2 days, i've watched more than 5 movies..
in the theatre n at home. really satisfied!!
round the clock eating non-stop..owells except when i'm sleeping..
my metabolism is slowing down, n i'm allowing myself to give in
to the food monster that's causing my gain in weight.

esp when i'm on leave..haiz..

this cycle is gonna continue til i come back from malaysia on sun..
will be going batu pahat with my grandparents tml noon..

starting from today, my annual leave starts!!
going back to wrk on d 16th..

i don noe where to start..
filled with excitement..
i can sleep for AS LONG AS I WAN~
without the alarm waking me up.
n just indulge!!

went to this cafe cum restaurant called 'indulgez' at bugis for lunch..
the milk pasta was heavenly good!!
as well as my fav baileys irish thick shake!!
it almost seem as if we (serene n iren n i)
booked d whole place..just the 3 of us.
;)
would love to go back there again!

caught the movie 'definitly maybe' at cine.
beginning of the movie was boring.
but the way how the story of the character's past love life
was revealed to his daughter made it seem really interesting.
n i pretty much agree with one of the quotes which says finding the right one to marry depends on the "right time" when the "one" comes along..

i'll be catching more movies lately..

alrite, just when i thought no one could fool me
since i'm with myself practically the whole day except the evening with iren,
i was wrong.
stupid sms. haiyr!

i realy miss those days..was it the sch holidays..?
when i would just stare blankly outside my old house's window..
looking at the ever-changing shapes of the clouds of my fav blue sky..
admiring it for god knows how long, listening to the radio station..
or perhaps my occasional walks at the pandan reservoir,
enjoying the humid breeze..
even so, all was so comforting to my senses`
just pure relaxation by myself

it felt the same way today!
i went to vivo city alone.
bought ticket to watch 'Grace is gone' at europa.
n prior to d movie, i had an hr or more..
decided to shop at daiso for some household necessities.
was rather surprised, the simple action of just strolling
ard d aisle of various sections..
checking out the unique products they have,
finding the very one u thought would be useful..
n buying it is actually so easy n satisfying!!
i'm quite proud of myself, now i have the tools for my springcleaning`
^^

had dinner at bakerzin with iren..
afterwhich, we actually carried on to west coast mac..
not for the intention to eat..
but nevertheless, we ate again
lolz..
i'm gaining weight.shucks.

okies, 4 more days of work..then i'm gonna have my AL..

will be meeting qs n wendy later for dinner at vivo`
miss them.

will be doing nite shift tml for 4 days..

developed rashes overnight..some were bites..

n vertigo is just picking up with my flu all at the same time.
now, i got to be on steroids.
my doc did some clinical tests for me..
checking if "supposedly a stone at the back of my ear

n asks me to go back to her immediately if there's hearing reduction..
sounds all too crazy!
i do admit at times i'd always needed someone to repeat wat they say..

had a special reunion dinner this yr..

following that, first 2 days of CNY was visiting to my grandma's n old house..

i cant believe i finally got my tat la..
was out with serene yesterday,
ate at manhattan fish market for lunch.
the baked fish was fantastic!
followed by "27 dresses" at The Cathay..
interesting movie.

n afterwhich, we headed to boat quay..
kinda decided to check out 'spirit of tatoos'..
see if i could have my tat done or make an appointment.
sat down n discussed with the tatoo artist for god knows how long..
til the moment came, when i had to lie at the 'operating table'
serene was the "co-artist" <-- quoted by her!
she helped as the assistant lo..
i was freaking nervous..
kept holding my breath while d needle went over my skin(outline part)..
luckily enough, the worst was over..
by the time he did the shading,
i was bravely lookin n helping him..
=p

so we ordered catering..food was alright,

sis n i, alvin n celine, ivan n his gf n rachael n giselle headed
to raffles city for some shopping..
after that, we went over to their place to chill in..

my flight sq865 landed at terminal 3 at 10pm
(i heard it officially opened 2days ago)
very new indeed!

i'm actually pretty exhausted from carrying all the luggage n stuff
i bought..
apart from tat, i reached home n unpacked the stuff
and also had to do some housekeeping,
To my horror..i think the room i shared with my mum has been the same since i left five days ago. DUST is the Killer~

i dont think i'm doing any justice to my eyes now..
i've got so many things to write abt my hk trip..

it's nice feeling the way i felt earlier today when i
saw my gd old friend after a long while..

went to wheelock's today.
had lunch at sakae.
followed by a visit to cousin linda's place.
met lucille for the first time!
she's really small n petite n pretty!!
33 weeks old..premature aye.
i cant take my eyes off her~

borrowed a small pouch from cousinlinda for my hk trip.
n we chatted, from how her waterbag burst, her whole experience til lucille was born.. basically all lucille..ha..
n i also received a present in advance from her n cousinpauline..
=D they're so sweet!

went to central mall, met my mentor for dinner at pasta de waraku!
their business sure looks brisk.
pasta tastes ok, kinda ex thou.
had a great chat with my mentor,
got me thinking of pursuing in 'applied psychology'..

in life, it's d ppl whom u meet that makes the difference

n i'm feeling all the excitement like NOW..
it's fast, i bet the trip n everything will seem like a peanut to mention

whom we hardly meet.

got a msg from work yesterday, was asked to take PH.
got a call today, my night shifts are cancelled.
n today will be my rest day.

i'm counting down to 11 days before my holiday trip!!
15 days to my 21st bdae!!

attended our ward's yr end party the other day..
lotsa food, games, presents n prizes plus karaoke..
wasnt that bad, i got this lamp with a boy's "ahem" as the switch.
now i need to get batteries b4 operating it..lol

the next day, i had planned to bring my colleagues to joo chiat place
for finger-linking gd pepper crabs..
turned out it was all sold out at 6pm plus..
damn. settled for zhu chao then..
n by 930pm, we were at suntec's kbox, singing our hearts out!
we were totaly exhausted by 4am..
was great thou..
as we had our breakfast at mac, we chit-chatted til mum came n drove me home..

u noe i was pretty joyful when i got my FIRST pay slip today..
=D

sounds stupid yeah but it's my 1st official job afterall..
the exhilaration is expected la..
not much..we only got half the pay..
still, i got to list down the no. of stuff i wanna do n get!
do a bit of retail therapy to raise my spirits..
i'm seriously starting to feel the pressure from work..
when i'm gonna be fully in charge, things r not gonna be d same like now..where i still got a preceptor to guide me..
tons of things for a blurhead like me.
i feel like i stone at times..
which is not good.
geez..

my cousin alvin just came back from US..
he was stationed there for work for abt 2-3 yrs/
it's been so long.. when he, weixin n xiaogu appeared at my place earlier..
i was so surprised..
he's still the same..forever boastful n hunky..lolz..
at 25, i still cant believe he is alr a dad of 3 lovely daughters..
goodness n blessed.

all our cousins are meeting for karaoke session later at 8..
will be so much fun..

i miss playing tennis..
but watching wimbledon did some justice..
it's the day 10th of wimbledon..
n i just saw the game played by venus williams n this russian player..
obviously` venus williams has one of the biggest serve!!
superb play!
my idol maria sharapova lost to her at the fourth round..=(
but she's still da best! ;)

ordered mac spicy burger meal for dinner..
now my tummy aint feeling so gd..
i think i got to stay away from spice n fried food le..

my hair is super short now,
feels so light n nice =))

i've been having clinical practice in the ward lately..
morning shifts..
but from 14th july onwards, it'll be shiftwork.. morning-afternoon-night.
exhausted every day i will be..
i'm more than pleased to see my bed when i enter the room..=p

somehow, homecooked food tastes delicious` in a way not comparable to outside
(they both belong to their own league)
well firstly, the feeling u get when u noe it's prepared by ur loved ones..
secondly, u feel touched by their efforts!
no matter what.
thanks to sis, i'm a few days healthier..lolz..
okie, now i wonder if fried rice for dinner is a gd choice>?? hah

jon was back yesterday.. kinda miss him..
his new shaven head feels so gd to touch..=)
i even took a pic with him!

accompanied grandpa n co to safra mount faber today..
they played bowling as usual while i simply sat there n stone..
music from power 98 was great~

went for foot reflexology n shoulder massage with sis at bugis..
it was painful but bearable..
but most importantly, it felt extremely good especially for those of us who had to stand n walk long hrs..
it may become my addiction!

train to sun plaza n met up with samantha, elaine n others to catch the movie 'transformers'
one of the most entertaining n exciting movie i've watched this year~
a must-watch!

grandmother lent me her pot(one that can brew herbs)
n for the first time, i drank chinese medicine brewed by myself..
tastes bitter n rich..
hopefully it's beneficial`
will have to keep drinking it..
haiz..i might grow sick of it..
maybe i can add honey..my love!

speaking of honey,
i saw a bee in my kitchen today,
i think it already has a mini hive on my kitchen wall which is decorated with some pictures of fruits.. hilarious n threatening.
luckily, mum got rid of it.

was really glad to talk to aunt sarah last nite..(on the phone)
thou she is away in kuching..she still cares a lot for us..
she's like a pillar of strength for me in terms of personal n character development.
honestly, she is harsh at times but it's all for my own wellbeing..
i'm so grateful n touched to know someone has such great faith in me...
i wanna be brave~
everything may seem hard..
but as long as i try..
give my all`
i wanna let them know,
i'm taking care of myself..

bought a shirt from zara yesterday after work..

in the morning, a visit to the chinese physician.
diana came along too..
i guess our problems are quite similar..
that's y we got the same prescription for the herbs to brew..
i don like bitter stuff,
but i suppose i could try,
or it will be a waste of the trip.

went to clementi central food centre,
we ordered chicken cutlet,
thumbs up^^

n for the rest of the afternoon..
i simply slept.
felt so reluctant to wake up man..

sis n i went back to teban n met up with my relatives..
then the whole bunch of us arrived at tung lok restaurant beside arena country club at abt 7pm..
granny's 77th birthday celebration!!
most of the dishes were great..except for the sharksfin..eww..tastes weird`
cousinvincent n sis ling came a bit later..
all in all, the dinner session was lovely!
took a video n lots of pics..
not as much compared to or cameraman~ cousinvincent~
i'll post some in friendster once sis ling sends to us..

when adults used to tell me, "being a student is the best, all u do is study, have fun n sit for exams" (cos kids always complain that they don have freedom n cant wait for their 21st birthday n stuff..u noe.. wanting to grow up fast n get out into the "gr8" world..)
i din really take to heart..

as i'm moving on to my next stage in life..work.
i can really 体会..
cos work takes up almost 3/4 of ur day..it's almost like work, sleep, eat, shit. lolz..
can get so tiring aye..
what with all those courses n continual education..
i think i can visualise my future already..(@_-)

today some of the big shots of singhealth group gave us talks..
one of the topic was like..mm.. staff development n career advancement?
basically after hearing the speakers today,
我认为是时候想想下一步...or rather my long term goal for my career..hm/?

at this point, all i can do is take a step at a time n
save up!! n hopefully, one fine day i'll work towards a degree..>>> =)

everything seems unknown for now.

foundation programme

starting from yesterday, i'll be working 6days per wk..
sgh organised a foundation programme for us..better equip us before we work..
registered nurses, enrolled nurses, upgraded RN etc..
we attend lectures, practicals n also clinical practice in our respective wards.
n from 13th july onwards,
no more honeymoon le..
it's gonna be tough!

i'm posted to ward 55B..
it's discipline is urology..
n i thought i would be posted to 55A- ENT..
haiz..
guess it's all the same ba..

my mind is shutting down le..
so much info to digest n find out,
superwoman i aint.

seriously, today i had actually planned to stay home, sulk n lament on the fact that i'm starting work tml..

n it turns out the other way round..

my sis ordered mac delivery,
mum n her n i sat down together for breakfast..(since ages ago`)
my mind was so occupied with them n our conversation..
after tat, sis n i went to the nearby electrical store to purchase a philips vacuum cleaner.
broom not as efficient la..
sis, being the smart one decided it's time i helped out with the housework..
so yeah, that's the story.

grandpa, aunt sally n benedict came over..
the whole lot of us went safra @ mount faber for bowling n pool session..
as usual, the 3 persons who scored the lowest got to pay for the games-food-etc..
i got my middle finger sprained the other time,
hence, i din play.. =(

luckily, i still play good for pool..lolz..

dinner was at chinatown..
followed by me strolling at the west coast recreation stadium..
while sis n qingwei jogged..
quite relaxed after the walk..
it did help me get my mind off everything..
=)

i missed those days when i used to briskwalk at pandan reservoir
watch the sunset..
simply beautiful

after wed nite of booze n stuff at obar n zouk,
i figured i wont be playing quite as often anymore..
new life blooming like a flower,
not certain if it will turn out as lovely..
but it's my job to accomplish that..=)

today, i met up with diana n we went to "thecheesecake cafe"..
we ordered 3 cheesecakes and shared - peach, oreo n vanilla choc chip..
i'm a sucker for gd 'desserts'..=D

thank god we shared the same taste..
we could do this more often!

followed by window-shopping at marina square n suntec..
lastly, dinner at lau pa sat..chit-chats
all was great!!

i'm feeling a bit tired now..
back aches, bloatedness
but i refuse to rest.
i want more time..but i'm losing it..

right.
down to jonathan, my little bro who's going to amk camp(ns) tml..
sis will be sending him off, playing the part of the big sister`
whereas i'm just gonna be saying my goodbyes to him at the front door.
